A training program that puts you and your dog on a glide path to success is invaluable. The Webfoot Outdoors seminar series is designed to do just that. We are committed to providing you with the tools and knowledge to build a calm and confident bird dog. We understand that your dog is not only part of a hunting team but also a valued member of your family.

Our curriculum is focused on developing the dogs state of mind. A calm and confident dog is a easier dog to train. This dog can receive, retain and utilize information to perform desired behaviors. We accomplish this using the dogs natural instincts and pack behavior. This is a time proven technique that is beneficial to all breeds not only bird dogs or retrievers.

No matter what the level of your training experience or your expectations, this 3 segment seminar series can help you obtain your goals, while having a better relationship with your dog.

In addition to the seminars, we hold workshops on Early Education (puppy development) and Trained Retrieve.

We highly recommend following the sequence of the seminars (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced level). This will allow you to work on the skills of each seminar prior to attending the next, enabling you and your dog to get the most out of each seminar. Training at the dogs speed and not skipping any steps, you will be on your way to a well polished bird dog at the completion of the Advanced Level seminar.

Don’t overlook The Early Education or Trained Retrieve work shops.

These are held on the Friday before the seminars to help prepare for a weekend of training.

Though the Early Education seminar you will start to see how a dog learns and how to create structure for the development of your dog. Early Education is designed for the younger dog or dogs with very little training. This workshop helps develop the dog’s desire through birds, along with starting to teach the the fundamentals of coming to you, coming with you and standing or sitting still on a very elementary level.

Trained Retrieve work shop is an introduction to the basics of fetch and ultimately the finished retrieve. This workshop explains different methods utilized, giving you a good understanding of what it takes to have a reliable retriever.
